That thing is sick. One of the fastest boats I've seen was a jon boat with twin 150's on it. Ran the open class at the boat drags in chowchilla, CA. Pretty large jon boat, though prob like 18' or more. Almost flipped over backwards out of the hole.

You need a long skinny boat. Every seen those guys in Malaysia Philippines or Vietnam. They have racing engines on a dugout basically and go 80 mph on the River

I have a 9’ sears v-haul from the sixties that I putt around with a five horse. My 16’ Jon boat has a 25 horse Yamaha 2 stroke that I have always been tempted to try on my v-haul. I am definitely doing it now!
